Has anyone ever seen the original R. Crumb Notebook pages? It looks like Zweitausendeins somehow removed the blue lines that were on the original notebooks. They look identical to the early 1960s Standard Publishing Co.'s Boorum&Pease Columnar Notebook, 300 pages. I saw the original Zweitausendeins editions years ago, and distinctly remember seeing these Notebook Ruled lines, just like notebook paper: blue ruled lines for writing; red/pink left column line on the left side of the page. At the time I had no idea what I was looking at, and assumed that Crumb had used an old accounting journal, as I had seen them at stationary stores many times. The B&P notebooks contained acid-free paper, and the page numbering in the upper corners, 8.5 wide by 10.25 (?), matches my own, newer B&P notebooks.
Does anyone have photos of those Crumb notebooks that I saw, and this was back in the early 1980s. Does anyone have any resources about this topic and that edition? Thank you.
